The service

When polished concrete is the right system.

Polished concrete is a multi-step mechanical process that grinds and hones a concrete surface using progressively finer diamond tooling to achieve a smooth, reflective finish. Unlike coatings that sit on top of the slab, polished concrete transforms the existing substrate itself into the finished floor. A chemical densifier — typically lithium silicate — is applied during the process to harden the surface and fill the pore structure, creating a floor that resists dusting, staining, and wear. The result is a floor with exceptional durability and extremely low lifecycle costs. Polished concrete requires no waxing, no recoating, and minimal maintenance beyond routine cleaning. Its reflective surface increases ambient light levels, which can reduce lighting energy costs by 20 to 30 percent in large facilities. These properties have made polished concrete the fastest-growing commercial flooring category, with adoption accelerating in retail, office, warehouse, and institutional settings. Polish levels are specified on a scale from flat or ground finish through low, medium, and high gloss. Decorative options include integral color, scoring patterns, exposed aggregate, and dye applications. The process is dustless when performed with modern equipment and HEPA vacuum systems, minimizing disruption to occupied facilities.
